IKIO LED Lighting to expand in the Batesville Industrial Park
Press release from City of Batesville
Mr. Ekam Deep Singh, founder and CEO of IKIO LED Lighting, has announced to city leaders that they plan to expand their existing facility to 150,000 sq ft in the Batesville Industrial Park.
In 2022, IKIO joined the Batesville community by purchasing a 50,400 sq ft shell building, with plans to construct a manufacturing and warehousing facility. The shell building was constructed with support from the City of Batesville to attract new industries, enhance economic sustainability, and create new jobs.
“We are excited to expand our manufacturing and distribution operations by an additional 100,000 sq ft, creating up to 50 new jobs over the next two years. The City of Batesville has been an invaluable partner in our growth, and we are grateful for their support. This expansion strengthens our commitment to U.S. manufacturing, sustainability, and keeping jobs local as we continue to innovate in Solar and Lighting solutions,” said Singh.
Batesville Mayor John Irrgang praised the company’s continued investment:
“When IKIO LED Lighting chose Batesville in 2022, they brought jobs, a commitment to innovation, and a vision for the future. This planned expansion, which would triple their footprint to 150,000 square feet and create up to 50 new jobs, demonstrates their continued confidence in our community and reinforces Batesville’s position as a key location for manufacturing. I’m pleased to offer my support to this initiative.”
Bill Narwold, President of the Batesville Redevelopment Commission, added:
“I certainly echo Mayor Irrgang’s support for IKIO LED Lighting’s expansion. It’s particularly gratifying to see this exciting development coincide with the completion of the final phase of our Industrial Park, which is the completion of vital road infrastructure.”
